A Tale of Two Birds Summary in English
This story tells us the truth that one is know b the company one keeps. Once a mother bird and her two young ones lived in a forest. the mother was killed in a storm and the young birds were separated from each other. Each found a different home. One of them came down to a gang of robbers and other landed outside a rishi’s ashram. Days passed and one day king of country visited that forest. When he sat under a tree shade one of them shouted to hurry up and take his jewels and horse. The king moved and soon reached near a ashram. Here he again heard that sound but he was saying, “Welcome to the Ashram, Sir”. The king was amazed to hear a similar voice again. He met the rishi who explained the behaviour of each bird. He came to know the birds’ true story.

यह कहानी हमें यह सच्चाई बताती है कि व्यक्ति जैसी संगति में रहता है, उसे वैसी ही पहचान मिलती है। एक बार एक चिड़िया माँ और उसके दो बच्चे एक जंगल में रहते थे। तूफ़ान में माँ की मृत्यु हो गई और बच्चे पक्षी एक दूसरे से अलग हो गए। प्रत्येक को एक अलग घर मिला। उनमें से एक लुटेरों के गिरोह में शामिल हो गया और दूसरा एक ऋषि के आश्रम के बाहर उतर गया। दिन बीतते गए और एक दिन देश के राजा ने उस जंगल का दौरा किया। जब वह एक पेड़ की छाया के नीचे बैठा तो उनमें से एक ने चिल्लाकर कहा कि जल्दी करो और उसके गहने और घोड़ा ले जाओ। राजा आगे बढ़े और शीघ्र ही एक आश्रम के पास पहुँचे। यहां उसे फिर वही आवाज सुनाई दी लेकिन वह कह रहा था, “आश्रम में आपका स्वागत है सर।” राजा फिर वैसी ही आवाज सुनकर आश्चर्यचकित रह गया। उनकी मुलाकात ऋषि से हुई जिन्होंने प्रत्येक पक्षी के व्यवहार के बारे में बताया। उसे पक्षियों की सच्ची कहानी पता चली।
