Write the story of the chapter “His First Flight”.
Ans – This is Story of a young seagull. The story conveys the message that anyone can learn by taking courage and not by sitting idle. A young seagull is fed by his parents. But when the time come for him to fly, he feels afraid. His parents tried many methods but he refuses to fly. At last his mother hits a plan. She tempts him with food in her beak. But she only flies near the ledge and didn’t land there. In order to get food, young seagull make a dive for food but he fells down from the rock. For a little movement, he was afraid but when he open his wings, he started to fly and didn’t fall in the sea. In this way, Young seagull learns how to fly.
Q2. Describe the methods used by the seagull family to help the young seagull overcome his fear and made his maiden flight. (His First Flight)
Ans – This story is about the young seagull. The time had come when young seagull should fly like his parents. All the brother and sisters already learn to fly. But he was afraid to fly. His parents tried various methods to teach him how to fly. They left him alone on his ledge. His brothers and sisters made fun of him. At last, his mother thought of a plan. She took a piece of fish in her beak and flew towards him. She came near him but did not land on the ledge. He was very hungry. In order to get food, he dived at the fish. But he fell down from the rock. He became terrified. But it was only for a movement, he flapped his wings and started flying. By this method, his mother was able to make him fly.

Ans – The narrator flew his aeroplane through the storm cloud. Suddenly, he found that there was blackness around him inside the clouds. He can not see any way through it. The aeroplane jumped and twisted in the air. The compass did not work. The radio also went out of order. He was lost in the storm. The suddenly, he saw a black aeroplane. It had no light on wings. By following this plane, he safely reached out of the black cloud storm.

Ans – The pilot was very happy during this flight because he was going to meet his family who lives in England. After entering into black cloud storm he left all his hopes but a black aeroplane saved his life and help him to get out of the black clouds. Now once again he was happy that someone saved his life.

Ans – After landing, the narrator asked about the mysterious aeroplane that had guided him in dark black clouds. But actually no such aeroplane was there on the radar. The lady don’t know anything about that aeroplane. So when narrator ask about second aeroplane, the women look at narrator strangely.
