Where are trees in the poem, 'The Trees'? What do their roots, their leaves and their twigs do?

Answer – The trees are inside the house in pots and pans. Their roots try to get free from the cracks of veranda. Their leaves try to grow through the glass. Twigs become harden and the boughs try to expand under the roof.
