सुभाषितानि Class 8 Sanskrit Chapter 1 व्याख्या
गुणा गुणज्ञेषु गुणा भवन्ति
ते निर्गुणं प्राप्य भवन्ति दोषाः।
सुस्वादुतोयाः प्रभवन्ति नद्यः I
समुद्रमासाद्य भवन्त्यपेयाः ।।1।।
अन्वय – गुणा गुणज्ञेषु गुणाः भवन्ति, ते (गुणाः) निर्गुणं प्राप्य दोषाः भवन्ति। (यथा) नद्यः सुस्वादुतोयाः प्रभवन्ति (परं ताः) समुद्रम् आसाद्य अपेयाः भवन्ति।
शब्दार्थ :- गुणा – गुण। गुणज्ञेषु – गुणवान व्यक्ति। भवन्ति – होते हैं। ते – वे। निर्गुणं – गुणहीन व्यक्ति। दोषा: – दोष। सुस्वादुतोयाः – स्वादिष्ट जल वाली। प्रभवन्ति – निकलती है। नद्यः – नदियां। समुद्रमासाद्य – समुद्र में मिलकर। भवन्त्यपेयाः – पीने योग्य नहीं होती है।
Translation in Hindi – गुण किसी गुणवान व्यक्ति के पास गुण ही होते हैं। वे गुण किसी गुणहीन व्यक्ति को प्राप्त होने पर दोष बन जाते हैं। नदियाँ स्वादिष्ट जल लेकर निकलती हैं लेकिन समुंदर में मिलकर पीने योग्य नहीं रहती हैं।
Translation in English – Qualities A virtuous person has only qualities. When those qualities are acquired by someone without virtues, they become faults. Rivers come out with delicious water, but they are not drinkable by mixing in the sea.
साहित्यसङ्गीतकलाविहीनः
साक्षात्पशुः पुच्छविषाणहीनः ।
तृणं न खादन्नपि जीवमानः
तद्भागधेयं परमं पशूनाम् ।।2।।
अन्वय – लुब्धस्य यशः, पिशुनस्य मैत्री, नष्टकियस्य कुलम्, अर्थपरस्य धर्मः, व्यसनिनः विद्याफलं, कृपणस्य सौख्यम्, प्रमत्तसचिवस्य नराधिपस्य राज्यं नश्यति।
शब्दार्थ:- साहित्य – हिंदी रचना ( साहित्य )। सङ्गीत – संगीत। कला – कला। विहीनः – के बिना। साक्षात् – वास्तव में। पशु: – जानवर। पुच्छ – पूँछ। विषाण – सींग। हीनः – के बिना। तृणं – घास। न – नहीं। खादन्नपि – खाते हुए। जीवमानः – जीवित है। तद्भागधेयं – उनका भाग्य। परमं – महान। पशूनाम् – जानवरों का।
Translation in Hindi:- साहित्य, संगीत और कला के बिना ( व्यक्ति ) साक्षात पूँछ और सींग के बिना वाले जानवर के जैसा हैं। घास नहीं खाते हुए भी वह जिंदा है। यह जानवरों के लिए महान् बात है।
Translation in English – A person without literature, music and art is like an animal without a tail and horns. He is alive even though he does not eat grass. This is a great thing for animals.
लुब्धस्य नश्यति यशः पिशुनस्य मैत्री
नष्टक्रियस्य कुलमर्थपरस्य धर्मः।
विद्याफलं व्यसनिनः कृपणस्य सौख्यं
राज्यं प्रमत्तसचिवस्य नराधिपस्य ।।3।।
अन्वय – असौ मधुमक्षिका तु कटुकं मधुरं (वा) रसं समानं पीत्वा माधुर्यम् एव जनयेत्। तथैव सन्तः समसज्जनदुर्जनानां वचः श्रुत्वा मधुरसूक्तरसं (एव) सृजन्ति।
शब्दार्थ:- लुब्धस्य – लालची का। नश्यति – नष्ट हो जाता है। यशः – यश। पिशुनस्य – चुगलखोर का। मैत्री – मित्रता। नष्टक्रियस्य – क्रिया नष्ट हो जाती है। कुलम – वंश। Translation in Hindiपरस्य – धन चाहने वाले व्यक्ति का। धर्मः – धर्म। विद्याफलं – विद्या का फल। व्यसनिनः – बुरी लत वाले का। कृपणस्य – कंजूस का। सौख्यं – सुख। राज्यं – राज्य। प्रमत्त – आलसी। सचिवस्य – मंत्री का। नराधिपस्य – राजा का।
Translation in Hindi- लालची का यश, चुगलखोर की मित्रता नष्ट हो जाती है। जिसकी क्रिया नष्ट हो जाती है उसका कुल, धन को अधिक महत्व देने वाले व्यक्ति का धर्म, बुरी लत वाले का विद्या फल, कंजूस का सुख और जिस के मंत्री आलसी हो उस राजा का राज्य नष्ट हो जाता है।
Translation in English – The fame of the greedy, the friendship of a glutton is destroyed. The family of one whose action is destroyed, the religion of a person who gives more importance to wealth, the result of learning of a person who is addicted to evil, the happiness of a miser and the kingdom of a king whose minister is lazy.
पीत्वा रसं तु कटुकं मधुरं समानं
माधुर्यमेव जनयेन्मधुमक्षिकासौ ।
सन्तस्तथैव समसज्जनदुर्जनानां
श्रुत्वा वचः मधुरसूक्तरसं सृजन्ति ।।4।।
अन्वय – यो पौरुषं विहाय दैवमेव हि अवलम्बते । प्रासादसिंहवत् तस्य मूर्ध्नि वायसाः तष्ठन्ति।
शब्दार्थ:- पीत्वा – पीकर। रसं – रस। तु – अथवा। कटुकं – कड़वा। मधुरं – मिठा। समानं – समान। माधुर्यमेव – मिठा ही। जनयेत् – बनाती है। मधुमक्षिकासौ- मधुमक्खी। सन्तस्तथैव – उसी तरह संत। समसज्जनदुर्जनानां – अच्छे और बुरे लोगों की। श्रुत्वा – सुनकर। वचः – वचन। मधुरसूक्तरसं – मिठे वाक्य रूपी रसं। सृजन्ति – निर्माण करते हैं।
Translation in Hindi – जिस प्रकार मधुमक्खी मिठे अथवा कड़वे रस को पीकर समान रूप से मीठे रस को बनाती हैं। उसी प्रकार संत लोग, अच्छे और बुरे लोगों के वचनों को सुनकर मिठे वचन रूपी रस का निर्माण करते हैं।
Translation in English – Just as a bee after drinking sweet or bitter juice makes equally sweet juice. In the same way, saints, listening to the words of good and bad people, create a sweet taste in the form of sweet words.
विहाय पौरुषं यो हि दैवमेवावलम्बते ।
प्रासादसिंहवत् तस्य मूर्ध्नि तिष्ठन्ति वायसाः ।।5।।
अन्वय – यो पौरुषं विहाय दैवमेव हि अवलम्बते । प्रासादसिंहवत् तस्य मूर्ध्नि वायसाः तष्ठन्ति।
शब्दार्थ:- विहाय – छोड़कर। पौरुषं – मेहनत को। दैव – भगवान / भाग्य। अवलम्बते – सहारा है। प्रासाद – महल। सिंहवत् – शेर की तरह। तस्य – उसका। मूर्ध्नि – सिर पर। तिष्ठन्ति – बैठते हैं। वायसाः – कौवे।
Translation in Hindi – जो मेहनत को छोड़कर सिरप भाग्य का सहारा लेते हैं। वह महल में बने हुए शेर की तरह, उसके सिर पर कौवे बैठते हैं।
Translation in English – Those who give up hard work and resort to syrupy luck is Like a lion in a palace, where crows sit on his head.
पुष्पपत्रफलच्छायामूलवल्कलदारुभिः ।
धन्या महीरुहाः येषां विमुखं यान्ति नार्थिनः ।।6।।
अन्वय – महीरुहाः पुष्पपत्रफलच्छायामूलवल्कलदारुभिः धन्याः (भवन्ति)। येषाम् अर्थिनः विमुखाः न यान्ति।
शब्दार्थ – पुष्प – फुल। पत्र – पत्ते। फल – फल। छाया – परछाई। मूल – जड़। वल्कल – छाल। दारुभिः – लकड़ी। धन्या – धन्य है। महीरुहाः – सागवान के पेड़। येषां – जिनके। विमुखं – विरुद्ध। यान्ति – होते हैं। नार्थिनः – याचक नहीं।
Translation in Hindi – फूल, पत्ते, फल, परछाई, जड़, छाल, लकड़ी से युक्त सागवान के पेड़ धन्य हैं। जिनके याचक विरुद्ध नहीं होते हैं।
Translation in English – Blessed are the teak trees having flowers, leaves, fruits, shadows, roots, bark, wood. whose petitioners are not against.
चिन्तनीया हि विपदाम् आदावेव प्रतिक्रियाः ।
न कूपखननं युक्तं प्रदीप्ते वह्निना गृहे ॥7॥
अन्वय – विपदाम् आदावेव हि प्रतिक्रियाः चिन्तनीयाः। गृहे वह्निना प्रदीप्ते कूपखननं न युक्तम्।
शब्दार्थ – चिन्तनीया – सोचना चाहिए। विपदाम् – विपदा। आदावेव – पहले से ही। प्रतिक्रियाः – समाधान। कूपखननं – कुआं खोदना। युक्तं – उचित। प्रदीप्ते – जलने के बाद। वह्निना – अग्नि / आग। गृहे – घर।
Translation in Hindi – विपदा आने से पहले ही समाधान सोच लेना चाहिए। घर में आग लगने पर कुआं खोदना उचित नहीं है।
Translation in English – The solution should be thought before the disaster strikes. It is not advisable to dig a well in case of fire in the house.
